3D Molded Shell Tongue – By molding EVA into a 3D shape for the tongue of the boot, Rome ensures both a proper boot flex, and also makes sure that flex stays poppy after 100 days of ripping mountains. Made from a responsive foam with zero seams, the 3D shape creates a flex pattern that rebounds when you load energy into it. The result is a tongue that drives power into the edges of your board and bounces back to be in the right place for the next turn.

Pro F.I.T. Foambed with AEGIS – A proper footbed is critical to having both sides of the fit coin — supportive fit for comfort and a stable fit for response. Rome’s F.I.T. Foam Beds use multi-density 3D structures that both support your arch and hold your foot in place. Rome also uses D30 Deceit and Poron to add cushioning in the heel for impact absorption.
GripLight Outsole with Vibram IceTrek.2 – Rome worked with Vibram to custom-design a lightweight outsole for snowboarding. The Vibram IceTrek.2 compound is their grippiest rubber, and Rome uses it in targeted areas to optimize both traction and lightness. Rome also placed a flex channel similar to their V-Rod concept to let the sole flex side-to-side, while maintaining response toe-to-heel. Finally, they lay in stiffer grip nubs to deliver studded traction.
