AMPLID Dada 22/23

The Amplid Dada outline shape is striking, its waistline sumo-sized and, by anybody’s standards, its nose and tail are expansive. Combining freaky shaping with considered construction details turns this blatant attention-grabber into the finest almost twin powder board you’ll ever ride. Buoyant and intuitive in powder, the Dada is also surprisingly responsive and flowing in a broad spectrum of terrain and snow-conditions. Unleash your potential with this puzzling, pow-pulverising peculiarity.

Twin cruise camber
A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like pop camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to cruise camber to improve buoyancy even further.

Floatation Tips
Ultra-wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.

Omni Core
A dependable, low density poplar wood core which is lightweight, durable and has great flex memory. The industry standard for great performance.

Thick Cut
Introduced this year with the future shapes series, thick cut cores have a thicker profile in the tip and tail to reduce vibrations and increase stiffness where you need it. Reduced nose and tail deflection improve deep snow float, adds control and increases stability.

HEXO2 Lite Core
Featured only in amplid’s thick cut core, hexo2 lite places honeycomb in the tips, but not between the bindings. The weight saving from removing excess material reduces swing weight and heightens responsiveness.

Carbon Pop Band
A narrow band of carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to tail. Pop band increases longitudinal stiffness and pop without altering torsional stiffness. Shreds with pop band feel livelier but remain forgiving.

Biaxal Glass
Using biaxial glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.

Impact Pads
On the milligram we have added mulitdirectional glass pads in the binding area, to avoid dings caused by pointy corners of metal splitboard binding bases. These pads will enhance durability without adding undesired weight.

PLT Topsheet
A special eco-friendly finish that looks good and will never crack!

Sintered 7 Base
A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies’ bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.

Shred Ready
Amplid is not going to sell you the best shred you‘ve ever ridden and leave the tuning to somebody else. They give every ride the best tune it will ever receive.

Beziér curves
Amplid avoids radii where we can and use Beziér-curves when designing sidecuts and nose shapes. It allows Amplid to calculate the exact flex curve of the core, which results in the most harmonious ride a ski or a board can provide.

Jekyll & Hyde Geometrie
Max effective edge and square centimetres in a min board or ski length. Unsinkable but nimble powder boards, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and edge-hold and the ultimate all-mountain ski recipe.
